A historic field blend of Carignan and Zinfandel from Hawkeye Ranch in Redwood Valley, planted in the early 1900s. The site is certified organic (CCOF) and dry-farmed. These old vines produce fruit with natural balance, moderate alcohol, and lifted acidity, capturing a distinctly Mendocino expression. The grapes were destemmed and fermented in open-top tanks, then gently pressed and aged for eight months in stainless steel to preserve purity and freshness. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with approximately 25 ppm SO₂.

The Pinole soil series are well-drained, gravelly alluvial soils with high concentrations of gravel, sandstone, shale, and quartz.
