Rosé Bone Jolly

2021
Gamay (67%) from Barsotti Vineyard, Syrah (33%) from Fenaughty Vineyard. These are both high elevation (2,800-3,000 ft) vineyard sites near Placerville in El Dorado County. The 2021 vintage brought considerable challenges from the Caldor fire that broke out in mid-August. Out of abundant caution, Steve Edmunds chose not to make any red wine, and focused solely on rosé production. With the addition of Syrah, The 2021 Bone Jolly Rosé is a bit more muscular than the all Gamay versions of previous vintages. The wine is quite lively and distinctive, with lots of freshness and a bright, pale pink hue.
