75% Carricante/25% Catarratto. De Bartoli branched eastward to the north face of Mt. Etna in 2021; the estate name "Solisciaro" is a mash-up that pinpoints its location between the two villages of Solicchiata and Passopisciaro. There are 4 hectares of vines in total. The farming is currently in conversion to organics. This DOC Etna Bianco comes from 30-year-old, alberello-trained vines on sandy volcanic soils at 700-750 meters in altitude. The bunches are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel with temperature control. The wine is aged for 10 months, with 60% of it in amphora and 40% in chestnut barrels. Production is approximately 3000 bottles.
