90% Carignan/10% Cinsault. The 2021 "La Providence" Rouge is  only the second vintage of the very first wine from Domaine La Providence, a new estate in the northwest corner of Provence. The vineyards are at 280-300 meters with on very sandy, stony soils with very little clay. Vine age ranges from 38 to 55 years old. The farming is certified organic and the harvest manual. The bunches are left whole and co-fermented in a 10-day carbonic maceration in tank without sulfur. The wine is aged in 500-liter demi-muids for 2 years. It is bottled without fining or filtering and with a modest amount of sulfur. Though Domaine La Providence is within the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOC, the wine is a Vin de France because the blend doesn't fit the appellation requirements. 500 cases made.
