Auxerrois 49%, Gewürztraminer 29%, and Riesling 22%. Fossil & Fawn’s take on a Gemischter-Satz–style bottling: this single-site white blend comes from old plantings (40–54 years) on the red volcanic soils of Sunnyside Vineyard, just south of Salem, OR. The Auxerrois and Gewürztraminer were picked during the same week and pressed together. The Riesling was harvested 18 days later, foot-trodden, pressed, and used to top the fermenting barrels of Auxerrois/Gewürztraminer. Aged in a mix of French and Oregon oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
