Rioja Blanco

Rioja
2024

Sandra Bravo's white comes from old vines grown in the high altitudes of the Sierra de Toloño (650 meters). Made in stainless steel it keeps fine aromatics and acidity, showing the fresh side of Viura.

90+ points
"The 2024 Rioja Blanco bottling from Bodega Sierra de Toloño is composed mostly from Viura, with just a bit of Tempranillo Blanco co-planted in the vineyard. Only ten percent of the cuvée sees any oak, with the remainder raised in stainless steel tanks. The wine does not go through malolactic fermentation. The 2024 comes in at a very svelte 11.5 percent octane and offers up a bouquet of white peach, green apple, chalky soil tones, raw almond, white lilies and just a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, focused and full-bodied, with a good core, fine soil signature, a lovely spine of acidity and good balance on the long and complex finish. This is a quite tasty example of Rioja Blanco. 2025-2040."
