A relatively new parcel for Alain Chavy, Les Charmes is a lieu-dit with 30-year-old vines that borders the Meursault 1er Cru Charmes. Chavy’s style emphasizes precision and laser-like acidity; the site brings a notably rich fruit and great energy.

Chardonnay from Burgundy, France
Very limestone soil and the steepest slope of Chavy's three 1er Cru. Wines from here are characterized by white flower notes on the nose, with a round attack and then intense minerality on the palate.

A deeper top soil with a slight slope. Elegant wine, usually the most open of the three when young. An interesting wine to try considering that Leflaive nearly has a monopole of this vineyard.

From 22 years old vines in south-facing Chassagne, with stony soil similar to that found in Perrieres.  Aged for ten months in 80% 228 liter barrel and 20% 400 liter barrel, then another five months in stainless steel tanks.
