Anjou Blanc "Quarts"

2021

Quarts is a south-facing lieu-dit within Quarts de Chaume, historically managed by the seigneurs de Haute Guerche before the French Revolution. For generations, they had tithed a quarter of the wine produced from this parcel to the Abbey of Ronceray in Angers, a tradition reflected in the appellation’s name—Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru. However, this cuvée is not classified as a Grand Cru wine. Instead, it is crafted in a dry style, qualifying it under the more general Anjou AOP designation. 24 months in large French oak barrels.
