"The 2023 Cercado del Pino Blanco from Tierra Fundida is composed from a cépages of Listán Blanco and Albillo Criollo, with the wine coming in at a svelte 12.5 percent octane in this vintage. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and raised in a combination of cement vats and old oak barrels for six months prior to bottling. The bouquet is complex and nicely precise, wafting from the glass in a mix of lemon, breadfruit, a hint of pineapple, salty volcanic minerality, citrus peel and a topnote of lemongrass. On the palate the wine is crisp, focused and full, with a beautiful core of fruit, excellent backend mineral drive, a fine spine of acidity and lovely balance on the long, complex and vibrant finish. This is really a fine, fine wine. 2026-2040+.."
