"Tierra Fundida’s Tacoronte el Adelanta bottling is made from a cépages of Listán Negro, Negramoll and Castellana Negra. The grapes are foot-trodden, fermented in cement vats with whole clusters and aged in a combination of used oak barricas and demi-muids. After their half year in casks, the three varietals are blended and finished with a further aging period in concrete tanks prior to bottling. The 2024 version comes in at a cool twelve percent octane and offers up a bright, complex and peppery bouquet of dark berries, pomegranate, pepper, tree bark, volcanic soils, a nice touch of Tenerife botanicals and a topnote of chicory. On the palate the wine is bright, tangy and full-bodied, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent soil signature, well-integrated tannins and a long, youthfully complex and beautifully balanced finish. This is an excellent bottle of young wine that only needs some time in the cellar to soften up its tannins and blossom. 2035-2070. "
