100% Carignan from the Coquelicot Vineyard in the Los Olivos AVA of the Santa Ynez Valley. Originally planted in 1997, the vineyard was acquired by the Rosenson family in 2005 and has been CCOF-certified organic since 2015. The site is planted on Ballard series soils, a gravelly fine sandy loam. The Carignan began fermentation carbonically before pressing to complete primary fermentation in tank, and aged for ten months in neutral French oak before bottling, unfined and unfiltered. 12% abv.
