The Riserva is 100% Gaglioppo from the vineyard Muzzunetto, the oldest vines of the estate, planted in 1967, facing north. The grapes are usually harvested at the end of September/beginning of October.  Fermentation was spontaneous with an extended maceration 10 days, after which the free-run juice is drained (not pressed).  Aged one year between a 2000L Slavonian oak botte and stainless/concrete.  It undergoes a wide filtration and is then bottled-aged for several years after the harvest.
