Fixin "les Crais"

France
Burgundy
2023

An emblematic parcel for the domaine, bottled separately for a long time because of its inherent quality. This is from a 1.38-hectare parcel with stony and chalky soil and an alluvial sub-soil, planted in 1946, 1960, 1988 and and again in 2002. Aged in barrel for 15 months (approximately 20% new). 15% whole cluster.

"Dark fruit with aromas of blackberries, dried herbs, dark chocolate and wet bark. The palate is rounded and plush, with finely grained tannins and a precise, focused finish. There's lovely mineral tension, with a slightly robust finish."
