Gamay from Barsotti Vineyard near Placerville in the Sierra Foothills. The Gamay at Barsotti was planted in 2005 at 2,800 ft elevation on decomposed granite soils. The fruit was fermented whole cluster and rested in puncheons for 18 months before bottling. The wine is light ruby in color, bright and energetic in style with vibrant red fruit and minerality. No sulfur additon at crush or bottling, unfined and unfiltered. 10.8% abv.
