90% Vermentino/10% Malvasia & Trebbiano. The fruit is from 25-to-50-year-old, organically farmed vines on sandy, rocky volcanic soils in the hilly Monte Amiata zone about 10 miles south of Montalcino. The bunches are harvested by hand, destemmed, gently presssed and fermented spontaneously without sulfur in open steel tank with a two-week maceration. The wine is aged in acacia barrique and bottled unfiltered. Production is small, as in 1000 bottles in 2022. "Le Ragazze" are the young daughters of Fonterenza vignaiola Margherita Padovani (one of whom crafted the label art).
