The Fog-Eater is Drew's Anderson Valley Appellation Pinot Noir, combining several sites from the northwestern and northeastern sides of Anderson Valley, including Clow Ridge Vineyard (70%), Valenti Ranch (20%), and Fashauer Vineyard (10%). These dynamic hillside vineyards with weathered sandstone and shale-based soils are subject to daily winds and overnight fog, keeping temperatures moderated during the growing season. The fruit was fermented with 20% whole clusters, 80% destemmed fruit, and barrel aged for eleven months before bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
