Sorella is Andrew Will’s Cabernet Sauvignon–dominant flagship bottling from Champoux Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Sorella, Italian for sister, is named in honor of Chris Camarda’s late sister, Jane. Produced exclusively from Champoux Vineyard fruit since its first vintage in 1994, the wine reflects the character of the site, with a particular emphasis on Cabernet Sauvignon which is widely regarded as among the finest in Washington State. The vineyard is known for yielding naturally structured fruit, shaped in part by persistent winds from the nearby Columbia River Gorge. The wine is vinified with indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak (30% new, 70% neutral) for 22 months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
