100% Melon de Bourgogne. This plot is one of the historical treasures of the Luneau family. It rises up between two villages and has a river running through it. Officially part of the village of Vallet, the plot lies at the top of a hillside forming a 500-meter wide vein of granite that descends gently into the gneiss of the village of Le Landreau. Vines were planted in 1984. Pressed with whole clusters, ambient yeast fermentation, aged for 21 months in one third Stockinger barrels from Austria, one third Italian clay amphoras, and one third in underground glass-lined tank. There is no racking during aging, nor fining or filtration. SO2 is added at bottling.
