Vendangeur Masqué Bourgogne Rouge

Burgundy
2024

100% Pinot Noir.  Vendangeur Masqué or “masked harvester” is the label for De Moor wines made mainly from sourced fruit and/or rented vines. The wines are made in the De Moor cellar in Courgis. In 2024, the wine is from Mâconnais Pinot Noir (from the same grower of the Chard in the 2024 Bourgogne Blanc). The de Moors always make their single red wine from whole clusters that undergo a partly carbonic fermentation over a period of 2-3 weeks. The wine is aged in used barrel for a year and bottled without filtration and with a touch of sulfur. While the varieties and sources of the de Moor red can vary from year to year, the style consistently tends toward a pale color, light body and gentle tannins. Tiny production.
