From a one-hectare clos. The vines were planted at the end of the first World War and this is considered to be one of the best terroirs for Gewurztraminer in Alsace. The plot faces south/southeast with chalky, marl soils on a bedrock of sandstone and quartzite. 5/9 on the sweetness scale.
