Grenache from Fenaughty Vineyard in the Apple Hill district of El Dorado County. Farmed by Chuck Mansfield, the vineyard sits on a north-facing slope at approximately 2,800 feet on volcanic clay-loam soils. The wine was fermented with 50% hand-destemmed fruit and 50% whole clusters, then aged for 6 months in stainless steel followed by 3 months in neutral French oak before bottling, unfined and unfiltered. 13.2% abv.
