"Own-Rooted" Pinot Noir showcases three old-vine sites in the Willamette Valley, each with vines still on their original rootstock and aged at least 30 years. Bishop Creek Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton contributes a portion of the blend, offering its characteristic dense structure and black fruit. Hyland Vineyard, the oldest in the McMinnville AVA, sits atop a hillside overlooking the Van Duzer Corridor, and its 51-year-old biodynamically farmed vines provide high-toned red fruit and floral notes. Pommard clone planted in 1990 at Nysa Vineyard in Dundee Hills completes the wine, adding elegant red fruit and spice. The wine was fermented with native yeasts, matured for 15 months in French oak (40% new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
