80% Carignano, 20% Alicante Nero (aka Grenache).  The Carignano was direct-pressed and then whole clusters of the Alicante Nero were added to the tank, macerating there for 12 days and coloring the wine. All concrete.   The wine is purposely released late; rather than being a seasonal product, it is simply a different, lighter-colored side of Ampeleia.

" The '2022 Rosato di Ampeleia is like a spice box on the nose, full of incense, dried citrus peels, blood orange, cinnamon and baked apple. It's soft upon entry yet quickly delivers a zesty burst of sour berries and tropical melon, all guided by vibrant acidity. A liquid, floral staining of concentration lingers, yet the energy remains high as the Rosato di Ampeleia keeps the mouth watering for more. This is a totally captivating Rosato that's nearly impossible to put down. It's a blend of 80% Carignano and '20% Alicante Nero."
