50% Trebbiano Modenese, 50% Trebbiano di Spagna, from the 2ha Sabatina di Sopra vineyard near the village of Levizzano Rangone, 220m facing west/northwest.  Destemmed, gently pressed, no skin contact.  Co-fermentation and aging in concrete tanks.   Secondary fermentation in bottle, triggered with unfermented grape must during the waxing moon, on February 21, 2024.  Released undisgorged in Summer 2024. 6,531 bottles made.  The name Valtiberia refers to the name of the road flanking the vineyard, a local heartland for Trebbiano.

Forget everything you have experienced with other Trebbiano grapes: modenese is floral and a talented “finisseur” while T. di Spagna has a neverending nose (peach, green mango, yellow flowers, tropical hints) and mouth-filling acidity.  I enjoy having the two give life to a white wine where fruit and freshness go hand in hand.”
