Serea, meaning “Mermaid” in Gallego, is 100% hand-harvested Albariño from ten- to fifteen-year-old organic vines near the coast. Fermented and aged in stainless steel for three months.
From 30 year old vines planted on grantic slopes ten miles from the Atlantic ocean in Pontevedra. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation, aged on the lees for 12 to 18 months in vats.
95% Albariño and 5% of Treixadura from a single plot, “As Penelas” from schist soils. It is an Albariño from inland Galicia, far from the influence of the sea, resulting in a much more mature and complex wine than an Albariño from Rías Baixas.
100% Albarino from multiple plots in Val do Saines. Vines are grown in granite and loam soils and they average about 25 years in age. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Aged on the lees for three months.
