From a steep west-facing vineyard behind the Grand Cru hill on the right bank of the Serein. The valley runs north to south and cold winds come through from the north. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Notes of nectarine and a hint of thyme.

"Piuze's 2022 Chablis Coteau de Fontenay has turned out especially well this year, wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, white flowers and Myer lemon mingled with hints of iodine and oyster shell reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it's bright and pure, with one of the most classically Chablisien profiles in the communal-level range this year. "
