Sous le Puits is on the top of the hill near the forest at an elevation of 300 meters. Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months (approximately 15% new). 30-45 g/L sulfur added at bottling.

"The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Sous le Puits 1er Cru has a fresh and vibrant nose with yellow plum, beeswax and hazelnut scents. The palate is well balanced, fresh and taut with a keen thread of acidity and a tang of marmalade right on the finish. This is very promising."

"All in 456 litre barrels. Mid lemon yellow. Rather more chiselled on the nose, with a touch of iodine. Pure white fruit, fairly concentrated, good tension behind and fine length. Not vastly characterful but extremely well made. "
