80% Carignano, 20% Alicante Nero (aka Grenache).  The Carignano was direct-pressed and then whole clusters of the Alicante Nero were added to the tank, macerating there for 12 days and coloring the wine. All concrete.   The wine is purposely released late; rather than being a seasonal product, it is simply a different, lighter-colored side of Ampeleia.

"The 2023 Rosato di Ampeleia is another super-distinctive wine in this range. Soft contours wrap around a core of crushed red berry fruit, orange peel, white pepper and mint. The Rosato is mostly Carignano and a touch of Alicante Nero (Grenache), with 15-20% whole bunches added as an infusion while the Carignano is fermenting. Complex and nuanced, the Rosato is a winner. Ampeleia presents their Rosato with a bit of age, so this is the current release."
