Malbec (42%), Cabernet Franc (24%), Merlot (12%), Tannat (12%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) from three organically farmed sites in the Rogue Valley AVA: Layne, Jaxon, and Mae's Vineyard. After much of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir crop was reduced by frost in 2022, Brianne began exploring other varieties less affected by the cold. She decided on this Malbec-based blend, inspired by the wines she enjoyed and helped make while working a harvest in Argentina years ago. The Rogue Valley is great for ripening these varieties, with hot summer days and cool summer nights due to the elevation of the region (around 1300 feet). The wine was fermented with 25% whole clusters, and aged in small and large format neutral French oak barrels for 26 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 12.8% abv.
