From two parcels, one near Meursault and the other near Puligny-Montrachet. Aged for 12 months in barrel and 7 months in tank before bottling.

0.43 hectare, 12 month ageing in French oak barrels followed by 6 months in a stainless steal tank. East facing with a 30°slope. Bottling mid February.

From 22 years old vines in south-facing Chassagne, with stony soil similar to that found in Perrieres.  Aged for ten months in 80% 228 liter barrel and 20% 400 liter barrel, then another five months in stainless steel tanks.           

Perhaps one of the most saught-after 1er Cru as it borders Batard and Bienvenues-Batard just to the north.

Clos Saint-Pierre is a monopole of Domaine Thénard. The vineyard faces east and is higher up on the hill than the Cellier aux Moines and has a very red soil, rich in iron.
